The big advantage of this otoscope is the very bright fiber-optic LED lighting with a 100,000 hour lifetime meaning you will probably never have to replace a bulb again. If the bulb does go out for any reason just contact us and we will send out a new one for free. Our competitors pocket otoscope (W/A) bulbs are now running $35-$40. bulbs are incandescent meaning they contain a fragile filament. These go out with just normal use and much sooner if the otoscope is ever jarred or dropped. The other big advantage is that our proprietary LED uses very little battery power. The energy efficiency and durability of this otoscope is simply amazing. The LED light source has no filament to break like a conventional incandescent powered otoscope. The LED bulb is virtually indestructible and will not be hurt by sudden jarring or drops. You will be amazed by the amount of light created by the LED bulb. The light produced by this otoscope is full spectrum white light and not the yellow light typically created by incandescent light bulbs on other otoscopes. With a light emitting diode there is no fragile filament to break so it can withstand repeated dropping or rough handling. The bulbs found on other otoscopes burn very hot and eat battery power, they are also somewhat fragile, and can be broken when the otoscope is dropped or handled in any rough manner.
